Who Is Deepak Gupta?
Deepak sits inside two worlds at once. At UC Berkeley Haas Business School he leads the career management group's work in entrepreneurship, coaching MBA students on startup ideas, co-founder negotiations, equity, salary, and getting into accelerators like Y Combinator. He is also the advisor to the Berkeley Haas Venture Capital Club. Outside the school, he is a Managing Partner at Blue Bear Ventures, with 15 years investing and operator stints at four different startups behind him.
He is also the kind of person who runs about a thousand miles a year and recently started weightlifting, which is relevant because he treats career advice the same way: discipline, compounding, the long game.
